Brian Velthoen, CCIM - President VACB.  Already known for his outstanding contributions to the development and investment community, Brian brings together 30 years of management and commercial real estate experience in Velthoen Associates Commercial Brokers.

Starting with a solid background in his family’s commercial contracting business, Brian went on to earn a political  science degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.  In only a few more years he had worked his way through mid-management at Tri-Valley Growers,    demonstrating a unique talent for personnel management and industrial analysis.  His career options suddenly blossomed.

Brian’s roots in commercial real estate eventually prevailed.  His talents were soon called upon to direct the commercial property division of a prominent local real estate firm.  After four years as manager, he decided to launch his own agency, co-founding Velthoen Hughes Co. in 1982.

Growth of the new company exceeded all expectations.  In 1987, Brian acquired sole ownership, and expanded his staff and services.  Velthoen Associates is now the leading commercial real estate firm in Stanislaus County.

Brian continues to enhance his leadership in the industry through both experience and education. While completing course work toward a Master of Business Administration, he earned his own coveted Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.  Brian is currently serving on the Alliance Board and is actively involved in the Economic Development Strategy Initiative for Stanislaus County and the City of Modesto.
